Roger Ballen and Die Antwoord have come together in fine unity to create a book. If you are familiar with both parties you can probably imagine how fucked up this collection of photographs are (in the best way possible, of course). Ballen provides glimpses into insanity where the sense of chaos is heightened with intense and complex backgrounds, dirty models, crude masks and graffiti. The backdrops are cleverly composed to draw the eye round the subjects of the photograph. Heavily emotive and dimly lit, this collection of work is enough to give anyone the creepers.
