Adam Pretty - Bringing a new definition to 'sports illustrated'... but if we are going to be honest, for me Pretty's works are still pretty much soft porn. Pretty photographs athletes in moments of drive, determination, skill, energy, precision, discipline and hunger.
Pretty is brining a new paradigm to the table of how we look at sports photography and has an eye for find the serene beauty in it - depicting a type of theatre in the extraordinary movements of the athletes.
The thing that sticks out most to me about Pretty's style is his incredibly creative vantage points. Our perspective, as the viewer, is from all sorts of interesting angles. This naturally creates a plethora of particular moods, composition and unique perspectives of action.
