My goodness. Tony Kelly is about as close to David Lachapelle as you can get. It's a good thing that I don't think it is possible to overdose on this kind of juicy style. Kelly's works are highly entertaining and like Lachapelle I suppose the theme that you could define as being the characteristic of their style is hyper trash glamour in ridiculous situations that always strangely seem to be appropriate.
I suppose the main difference between Kelly and Lachapelle is that Kelly is rarely focused on large and extravagant sets. Kelly is usually more focused on the narrative/situation and model being the main attraction of his pieces. This provides the illusion of the scenes being real. I like the fantasy that Kelly provides of his characters being young, sexy rich and reckless. It makes it very entertaining in a sort of sinful way.
