Visually, most photographers try to capture a still,
perhaps using their technical skills as a way to express a status or a
particular significance within a specific image. Ciril Jazbec, on the other
hand, set out to use images to tell a story. His compositions are highly
focused on details, from the apparently unimportant and random marginal shade
to the main focal points of a picture. His photographs arguably rely
extensively on the importance that the artist puts in the composition, but also the
use of contrast, strategic shade / light placements and other tools contributes
greatly to the feel and appeal of Jazbec's images.
