Gjon Mili's representation of movement is a wonderful example of science and art coming together harmoniously. With a background in engineering, technical innovation obviously was of great interest to Gjon Mili and the results are stunning.

The master of stroboscopic light photography was featured in Life Magazine for his magical pictures taken of Pablo Picasso in 1949. The produced images capture exactly how I imagine Picasso working: full of energy, engaging his whole body into creating and holding a magic wand for a brush.

The beautiful long-exposure paintings simulate the experience of hallucinations, memories, and ghostly figures. The surrealism style adds an element of magic to the works, something that must have blown away the people of the late 1940's.
