Regan Cameron’s play with textures is a fresh approach to beauty photography. There is no doubt in my mind that Cameron has been heavily inspired by the 1960/70’s revolutionary era – something that I can personally relate to. Playing with primary colours, geometric shapes (appearing in the fashion, make-up style and poses) and the occasional reference to Liechtenstein.

I really enjoy Cameron's rejection of the current beauty trend in photography to make skin look like it is made out of gold and completely smooth, sort of giving the appearance that the models look like they have been lathered in aerosol paint. Although Cameron has dabbled in this style (and I would even say taken it to extremes) he has also experimented with a variety of textures, making skin (particularly faces) look grainy, powdery, wet and porcelain - too cool.
