Max Dupain - As a photographer typically interested in architecture I think it becomes evident that when Dupain's works focus on the female form, they are created in the light of paying homage to a beautifully created structure - This perspective is beautiful and poetic in itself however the images themselves birthed from this idea are simply breathtaking.
As the viewer of Max Dupain's photography I feel as if I have been thrown behind his lens in the very moment the shutter closed. Capturing intimate moments of the subject and also of the artist. Dupain has opened himself up as an artist for his viewers to experience his personal wonder, intrigue, curiosity and awe for the female figure. For me, Dupain doesn't just create an image or capture a moment, he creates an intense experience of intimacy with the subject, artist and the divine.
