Anne
Hardy is well known for her unique approach when it comes to portraying in-door spaces, particularly focusing on interior design with surrealistic and
dream-like characteristics. Her photographs are striking mostly due to the use of warm colours and
deep darks, adding a very special and organic depth to her images.
Currently
working and living in London, UK, Hardy boasts an extensive portfolio of
works and exhibitions. Conceptually, it is interesting to observe the natural elements of light blend in with the artificial components within her environments - trees blend in with electric lights and other artefacts; wood counterpoises
plastics, steel and water interplay with each other.
Her images focus on the interesting interaction between nature and the way man can impact the environment, for better or for worse. On one side, our intellect and technology is so remarkable that it can inspire the eye of an artist; while on the other hand, it can sometimes be disruptive and invasive. Hardy explores this with insight and without prejudice.

Hardy’s works aren’t necessarily judgmental or critical: they stand as honest,
artful and spontaneous portrait of the artist’s perceptions. These works are
not static, but feel like they portray a subject, a scene that is always
moving, constantly evolving.
